Britain’s greenest university

August 29, 2007

Queen Margaret University

Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh will soon be opening its new ‘green’ campus in Musselburgh. The new campus buildings are designed to require minimal heating and light - and consequently reduce carbon emissions. At Grant Management, we were keen to support the University in this mission and have agreed to sponsor one of the many Internet cafes that the student will have use of.

Meeting the student presidents

August 27, 2007

Last week we invited a group of student presidents, from around the country, to come and join us for a day at the Edinburgh Festival. We had a great turn out and met presidents from the universities of Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow - to name a few.

The event kicked off with a lively discussion about going Carbon Neutral and reducing your carbon footprint. Everyone was really keen to get their universities on board and build stronger links with Global Trees. Following all the debate we finished the day with a trip to the pub and a show in the festival. Great fun and the first event of many!
