‘Greenday’ event set tour the UK
August 29, 2007
In September, we will be touring all the major Universities and holding ‘Greenday’ events on campus. These events are all about teaching students how to reduce their Carbon Footprint and have some fun at the same time.
We have a state of the art Segway up for grabs (just arrived from America), and anyone that dares to have a go can enter our competition!
Britain’s greenest university
August 29, 2007
Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh will soon be opening its new ‘green’ campus in Musselburgh. The new campus buildings are designed to require minimal heating and light - and consequently reduce carbon emissions. At Grant Management, we were keen to support the University in this mission and have agreed to sponsor one of the many Internet cafes that the student will have use of.
Meeting the student presidents
August 27, 2007
Last week we invited a group of student presidents, from around the country, to come and join us for a day at the Edinburgh Festival. We had a great turn out and met presidents from the universities of Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow - to name a few.
The event kicked off with a lively discussion about going Carbon Neutral and reducing your carbon footprint. Everyone was really keen to get their universities on board and build stronger links with Global Trees. Following all the debate we finished the day with a trip to the pub and a show in the festival. Great fun and the first event of many!
100% Carbon Neutral
August 27, 2007
We recently decided to offset the organisation’s carbon emissions through Global Trees, a tree planting charity set up by Peter Grant.
Having realised how easy it was, we then decided to take it a step further and offset the emissions of all our 1600 under management, on behalf of our tenants and landlords!
We are the first property management company in the UK to do this, and we have found that the reaction from tenants has been really positive.
Want to go carbon neutral yourself? Just visit www.GlobalTrees.co.uk to calculate your own carbon footprint.
Welcome

The aim of this site is to keep you informed of daily events at Grant Management and to hopefully offer some insights into the world of property! Whether you’re a tenant or a landlord, we hope you find this site of interest and over the next few months I look forward to developing it into a forum where your voice can be heard. I will cover a whole range of topics via my daily blogs – like the latest news on our ‘Carbon Neutral’ properties; or the plans to meet Bill Clinton - right through to details of our recent Student President event! In addition to this I will be gathering news (and interesting top tips) from all the teams here at head office in Edinburgh, and the other eleven cities across the UK.
Working in the property industry is fascinating, as its all about people you meet, and as you will find out it can often be a challenge too…!
